Fall Preseason Athletic Meetings and Paperwork Dates/Times

Before you know it, Fall Sports will be starting up.  Here are some important dates and times:

First day of Football:  August 20
First day of other Fall Sports:  August 23

All student-athletes will need to attend a pre-season team meeting and provide their coach with a completed eligibility ticket.  To complete an eligibility ticket, student-athletes must be in good academic standing, have filled out all forms, have taken an ImPact test, valid physical within last 13 months, paid athletic user fee or turned in waiver paperwork, and have no equipment owed to the athletic department.

Athletic user fees have not changed since last year.  Football is $275, while all other sports are $250.  Checks can be made payable to the Hull Public Schools.

Student-athletes and their families can pick up/drop off necessary paperwork and an eligibility ticket during these times in the Exhibition Room:

Monday, August 13:  8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, August 14:  5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 15:  5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Paperwork is also available on the athletic department web site:  http://www.town.hull.ma.us/Public_Documents/HullMA_HighSchClass/AthleticDirector/Participation%20Paperwork

If you come during one of the above listed time frames with paperwork complete, you will be in and out of the high school in 5 minutes.

Mandatory pre-season team meetings will be held according to the following schedules on Wednesday, August 15:

Cross Country:  Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m.
Field Hockey:  Cafeteria at 6:00 p.m.
Football:  Exhibition Room at 6:30 p.m.
Cheerleading:  Cafeteria at 7:00
Girls' Soccer:  Exhibition Room at 7:30
Boys' Soccer:  Cafeteria at 8:00

Failure to attend these meetings by at least student-athlete or parent will result in a delay in your child's participation.  Failure to obtain eligibility ticket will result in a delay in your child's participation.

These meetings will be informative, but brief.  Please contact me at jquatromoni@town.hull.ma.us or 781.925.3000 ex1113 if you have any questions.

SSL Scholar-Athlete Banquet

Each year, the South Shore League principals and athletic directors honor two student-athletes from each school at the South Shore League Scholar Athlete Banquet.  This year's banquet was held at Southers Marsh in Plymouth.

These students represent the top student-athletes in the South Shore League based on academics, athletic participation, sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship.  They have successfully balanced a demanding academic schedule with participation in athletics and other co-curricular activities.

Congratulations to Hull High School's winners for 2012:  Chris Shaffer and Sara Benjamin.
