Girls Look to Defend Title

Coming into the 2011-2012 season the Hull lady Pirates look to keep the momentum from last season's Cinderella run to the state title going. It wont be easy, but despite losing a senior class which included the team leader in nearly every statistical category in Nikki Heavern (15), this years seniors look to improve individually and collectively in hopes of a return to the state tournament.

Captain Lauren Geary brings back the most on court experience of this year's captain trio, with a 56 field goal percentage from the field last season. Katie Manning and Brianna Kelly are primed for breakout years with their increased roles as team leaders both on and off the court.

Tryouts for the 2011-2012 season started last night, good luck to all the girls going out for this years team!

Fall Sports Winding Down

With the boy's football team completing their pre-Thanksgiving schedule on Friday against Carver we'll take a brief look back at all the fall sports this past season.
The boys and girls soccer teams along with girls field hockey had slow starts to the season but as Athletic Director Jim Quatromoni emphasized "the teams grew throughout the season and showed tremendous improvement as the season progressed."
While winning records did not prevail with these three sports teams, anyone who watched the respective seasons unfold can not deny the effort and improvement each team showed.

While the varsity football team is not done yet they have already put together  an impressive season despite some key injuries, in the process emphasizing the concept of team. With battles against Carver and  rival Cohasset ahead the final chapter has yet to be written on the 2011 football season.
